Zaanse Schans
It doesn't get any more Dutch than this! On the Zaanse Schans you step back in time and taste the atmosphere of the eighteenth and nineteenth century. There are lots of wooden houses, windmills, old workshops, barns and museums. Take a look at the cheese dairy, discover how they used to make bread in the bakery museum and watch clogs being made.
Amsterdam
Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands with its many canals, museums and markets. Admire Rembrandt's Night Watch in the Rijksmuseum, step inside the Van Gogh Museum or discover Anne Frank's hiding place. If you are in Amsterdam for the first time, a nostalgic canal cruise should of course not be missed. You can go shopping in the 9 streets (de 9 Straatjes), the Kalverstraat or the P.C. Hooftstraat.

Artis
Did you know that Artis Zoo was already open in 1838? It is the oldest animal in Amsterdam and the Netherlands. That makes Artis extra special. You can admire chimpanzees, elephants, the giant tortoise and pink flamingos up close. You will also discover the underwater world in the aquarium and learn everything about the stars in the planetarium. Micropia tells you all about the invisible life of microbes.
NEMO Science Museum
Take on the role of a real scientist and conduct experiments in the large, green ship of NEMO Science Museum in Amsterdam. Science and technology suddenly become a lot of fun because of the exciting and interactive exhibitions and feasible experiments. Who knows, maybe the scientist in you will be released!
Rijksmuseum
The real art lover shouldn't miss a visit to the Rijksmuseum in the heart of Amsterdam. Here you will find the best-known masterpieces by Dutch painters. Like 'Het Straatje' by Vermeer, 'The household' by Jan Steen and of course 'The Night Watch' by Rembrandt. Workshops, tours and theater programs; there is always something to do in the Rijksmuseum!

Hoorn
In the time of the East India Company, the historic harbor town of Hoorn was one of the main trading centers. Visit one of the museums or travel back in time and board the Museum Steam Tram Hoorn-Medemblik. On the way the train stops in Twisk and Opperdoes. You can return by steam train or boat. The driving schedule changes every day.
Bowling De Zedde
Bowling- and Partycentrum de Zedde is for all ages a familiar address to enjoy bowling with the family, to have a bite to eat or to celebrate a party.
Group activities Volendam
In cosy Volendam there is plenty to do and experience with your group of friends, family or colleagues during your stay at EuroParcs! From archery to touring around on an e-bike, there is a suitable activity for every group.
Simonehoeve
The Simonehoeve is an original cheese farm and wooden shoe factory. See how cheese and Dutch clogs are made. Great fun for young and old and definitely worth it!
Marken Express
From the harbor of Marken you can board the Marken Express. This ferry takes you to Volendam within 30 minutes. This ferry service is offered year-round.
Museum of Marken
In museum of Marken (Marker Museum) you can learn more about the history, the traditional costumes, the textiles that were used and are still used today and the fishing industry on Marken.
Monnickendam
In Monnickendam, visit especially the Grote- or Sint Nicolaaskerk or the Speeltoren which is now part of the Waterlands Museum. With a small shopping center.
Steam train Hoorn - Medemblik
Board the Museum Steam Tram that runs between Hoorn and Medemblik. Along the way, the train stops in Twisk and Opperdoes. Back you can take the steam train or the boat, but you can also sail to Enkhuizen. The schedule changes every day.
Recreation area Twiske-Waterland
On the other side of the IJ awaits the green recreation area Twiske, while in Waterland picturesque villages, dikes and ditches alternate in an ancient polder landscape. The best way to discover Twiske-Waterland is by getting on your bike, putting on your walking shoes or going sailing in a sloop. The main entrance to the recreation area is in Oostzaan and is indicated by ANWB signs.
Edam
Whoever says Edam, says cheese. Not surprisingly, the spherical cheeses have been known for centuries known all over the world. Discover the origins of this delicacy in Edam and be surprised by the historic centre of the old Zuiderzee town. In July and August you can experience for yourself how trade used to be conducted here during the Wednesday cheese market. You can also learn about the story of Edam cheese at the Cheese Market or at museum The Story of Edam Cheese.
Tip: Do you like cultural activities? Then visit Edam's museum, one of the two locations is the 'Steenen Coopmanshuys'. This is Edam's oldest house with a unique floating cellar.
Fort Resort Beemster

Schermer Windmills
In 1633, the reclamation of Lake Schermer began. The reclamation of this large lake required as many as 52 mills, 17 of which have been beautifully preserved. A beautiful place where some of these mills can be visited is Schermerhorn. Here you will find three beautiful mills. One of the three mills has been converted into a Museum Mill. Here you can learn all about the reclamation of the Schermeer and living and working in a polder mill. How unique is that?
