Alkmaar dances on running shoes through the city center during the Alkmaar City Run by Night on May 13, 2026. Around 11,000 runners take part in this run, with the 5- or 10-kilometer route winding through the atmospheric streets and lively squares. Residents along the course turn it into a celebration every year, decorating the streets with lights, garlands, and music!
